Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG

You may think Amarone is the ancestor here, but it is not. Recioto is the most ancient wine used in Valpolicella. Its roots go deep into the history of the area, when the Romans were already crafting it from local grapes. The bunches dry for about 3 months before the pressing and the wine ages in French oak tonneaux for about 30 months. The result is this sweet precious and spicy wine, deeply red and seductive, with sharp acidity. There is no better glass with a chocolate cake, biscuits, cherry or strawberry pies.
